Serve with Christian Skaters at Ramp 48 and join us on a trip to Panama for FREE

Giving of Life ministries has offered Christian Skaters International Headquarters (based at Ramp 48) an incredible opportunity!

This coming spring, Giving of Life is sending two individuals on all-expenses-paid trips to serve with the ministry of their choice from among the Giving of Life applicants. In order to enter, all you have to do is record a video and send us Giving of Life a link to the downloadable file. From there, they will post it on our Facebook page where others will vote for you to win. The creators of the two videos with the most likes on Facebook will be going to visit the ministry their choice in the spring. On top of that, we’ll give you a video camera so you can capture the amazing things that ministry is doing for the Kingdom!

In your application video, all you have to do is answer the following

questions in some form:

 * Which one of the ministries below are you most passionate about and why?

 * What is it about that ministry and what they are doing that really

   connects with you?

 * If you win, are you willing and able to contribute to what the ministry

   is doing during your time with them by capturing it on camera and

   serving alongside them?

 * Upload the video to Vimeo.com, set permissions to allow it to be downloaded, and email the link to connect@givingoflife.com

*  Giving of Life will confirm that they have received it, upload it to their Facebook page, and send you the link. This will allow you to start driving traffic to your video as soon as possible! Don’t forget to include your name, since you want it displayed on their Facebook page! After you receive the link to your video, it is all in your hands. Send it. Talk about it. Share it.  Remember, the video with the most likes by February 10th, 2012 wins!  

What will we do in Panama?

Christian Skaters will be teaming up with Christian Surfers Panama, JSAW Foundation, and Ride Nature to build a skatepark and then be reaching out to the community through skate and surf events. We will be giving away FREE boards to those who otherwise would never be able to afford one and using the gift of skate to share the even better gift of Jesus. The trip will be held June 9th – 17th. After the trip, you will come back to Fort Lauderdale to serve at our indoor skatepark to see our model for these international trips and how Ramp 48 is reaching out in South Florida.

Ramp 48 will be open to the public this Friday, November 18th from 3pm – 10pm

Some things you need to know:

1. EVERYONE needs a new waiver. So, bring a state issued id if you are over 18. And, if you are under 18, bring a parent or legal guardian. DOWNLOAD THE WAIVER HERE

2. You MUST wear a helmet and it must be a skateboarding helmet. No bike helmets are allowed.

We are looking for master carpenters who would like to donate their time by helping with the build. Email info@Ramp48.com if interested.

We will also be rebuilding our team. Skaters must be serious about skateboarding, be committed to standing strong for the Lord, and motivated to bring in video and work with the team. We will also be looking for a team filmer, editor and those with a will to go far in the skate industry and grow in their faith. Like our skatepark verse, Matthew 5:16, our goal is to bring skaters into the industry who will stand firm and shine like bright lights in a dark industry. Join Ramp 48 for Love Out Louder Day in West Boca

Join Ramp 48 in West Boca April 2nd for LOVE OUT LOUDER day with Joe from Ramp 48. The park will be closed but come and enter the mini-ramp contest and enjoy a day of skate in this West Boca neighborhood.

Joe has moved from Ramp and is now pastoring a new church plant called Calvary Chapel Sandalfoot. Let’s go show him support!

Bring everyone you know as we’ll be setting up the vans mini-ramp for the day on the church property.

The church is located at 10660 Sandalfoot Blvd W Boca Raton, FL 33428-5706

Here’s how you can get involved:

1. Thursday & Friday, March 24 & 25 – Meet at the church at 10am to help build the mini-ramp. Must be 18 or over with building experience
2. Saturday, March 26- Meet at the property at 10:30am with your boards as we will send out youth to hand out flyers around the surrounding neighborhood.
3. Saturday, April 2 – Bring your friends and family to celebrate Love Out Louder Day. The Ramp 48 Van’s Mini Ramp will be set up for demos and skate. Skaters must have a current waiver on file at Ramp 48 and a helmet to skate. Volunteers are needed at 9:30 am to help assemble used skateboards to give away to local youth, help with property improvements and secure ramp area.
   

The cost of the trip is $850 and this includes air from Fort Lauderdale International Aiport, Meals, Accomodations & Transporation.
